Now that baseball has begun, local sports bars are packed when teams take the field.
If you would like to cheer on your favorite players with a crowd, there are a variety of bars near our apartments in Conshohocken.
Here are a few favorites:
LEGENDS BAR & GRILL
Legends is the newest sports bar in Conshohocken. It offers a lively atmosphere, and comes complete with dark leather booths, pigskin walls, and an impressive audio system featuring an 80" foot television. The chefs prepare American cuisine with a seasonal twist, and the meals pair well with the large variety of microbrews. Offerings include porcini rubbed New York strip steak, open-faced salmon sandwiches, and battered chipotle fish tacos.
MCSORLEY'S ALE HOUSE
McSorley's brings sports, beer, and great food together under one roof. It's making a comeback after more than twenty years, and there are over fifteen televisions so guests never miss a minute of their favorite team in action. Guests can also challenge their friends to games such as pool, foosball, and arcade bowling. The bar is open until 2:00 a.m. except for on Sundays, and the servers enjoy chatting with their guests. Meals include sweet chili chicken wings, cowboy burgers, and old school red pizza.
J.D. MCGILLICUDDY'S
Nestled in Upper Darby, J.D. McGillicuddy's has proudly served Delaware County since 1994. During a fishing trip, John D. McDonald looked at his friend Thomas Thornton and said, "Why don't you name a pub after me?" Thomas' children called John JD McGillicuddy, and that's how the bar got its name. It's a fun place to meet friends, and the menu features an array of pub favorites. Choices include bacon cheeseburgers, chicken wings, and barbecue pulled pork sliders.
