Whether you want to enjoy a run featuring stunning architecture, spectacular scenery, or a journey through history, local trails offer an adventure that's not to be missed. The best jogging paths near our Spring Mill apartments include:
PHILADELPHIA HISTORY RUN
The Philadelphia History Run offers an 8.4-mile journey surrounded by Old Philadelphia's most historic sites. It features a scenic crossing of the Delaware River and gains about 300 feet in elevation. One of the highlights includes running alongside Battleship New Jersey. Considered America's most decorated battleship, she was launched in 1942 by the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard.
FAIRMOUNT PARK TRAILS
With more than 2,000 acres of trails, woodlands, and wetlands, Fairmount Park is one of the world's largest park systems. In 1876, over 10 million people visited Fairmount for the country's Centennial Exposition. Today, it's where runners enjoy rolling hills and tranquil views of the Shofuso Japanese House and Garden. This historic site has been a visitor favorite since 1958. It was built in Japan and exhibited at New York's Modern Museum of Art before coming to Fairmount. Features include a traditional tea house and a picturesque pond garden with a tiered waterfall.
FDR PARK/NAVY YARD
Stretching over five miles, FDR Park/Navy Yard features unforgettable lake and golf course views. A statue seen at Marconi Park honors the inventor of the radio while 76ers fans enjoy passing the team's stadium.
Called the coolest shipyard in America by Politico, the Navy Yard attracts thousands of visitors every year. The area is known for its contemporary architecture, historic ships, and beautifully preserved brick buildings.
Running is just one of the recreational activities you can enjoy as a resident of our Conshohocken apartments. If you're searching for a place to call home, please contact us. We'd love to give you a tour.
